Kodi Kura * Chicken Curry * Murgi Ka Salan
Ingredients
Kodi Mukkalu (Chicken Pieces) : 1 kg
Kodi Mukkalu (Chicken Pieces) : 1 kg

Dhaniyalu, Lavangalu, Dalchina chakka, Yelukalu (Corriander Seeds, Cloves, Cinnamon, Elaichi) : 2 Tsp, 10, 3 small, 2

Endukobbari, Jeedipappu, Gasagasalu (Dry Coconut, Cashew, Poppy Seeds) : small piece, 5, 1 tsp

Allam Velulli Paste (Ginger Garlic Paste) : 4 tsp

Ullipaya, Pachmirapa Mukkalu (Sliced Onion and Green Chillies) : 3 medium size Onions, 4 Green Chillies

Pala meegada (Milk Cream Layer) : 2 tsp

Kothimeera (Corriander Leaves) : as required

Nune (oil) : 4 tsp

Salt : 3 tsp

Karam (Red Chilli Powder) : 4 tsp

Pasupu (Turmeric Powder) : 1 tsp

Perugu (Curd) : 2 tsp

Procedure
Step 1 : Add Turmeric powder, 2 tsp Salt, 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder, 2 tsp Curd and 2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste to cleaned Chicken
Step 1 : Add Turmeric powder, 2 tsp Salt, 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder, 2 tsp Curd and 2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste to cleaned Chicken

Step 2 : Mix properly and marinate for 1 hour (good if refrigerated)

Mean while
Step 3 : Fry 2 tsp Corriander Seeds, 10 Cloves, 2 Elaichi, 3 small Cinnamon for 2 min by continuosly mixing

Step 4 : Blend fried Corriander Seeds, Cloves, Elaichi, Cinnamon (Chicken Masala is ready now)

Step 5 : Blend small Dry Coconut, 1 tsp Poppy Seeds, 5 Cashews (first blend Poppy Seeds then add Cashews and Dry Coconut into paste by adding water


Step 6 : Fry Sliced Onions and Green Chillies in 4 tsp heating oil in a pan

Step 7 : Add 2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste and mix when Onions turn into gloden brown colour

Step 8 : After 2 min, add marinated chicken to fried onions mix and close the pan

Step 9 : Let the Chicken cook in low flame till water is over, now add 1 or 2 glasses of water (depends on chicken)

After 10 min
Step 10 : Add 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder, Chicken Masala and 2 tsp Milk Cream to cooking chicken

(Check Chicken piece and add water or Salt or red Chilly Powder if necessary)
After 5 min
Step 11 : Add Poppy Seeds, Cashew, Dry Coconut paste into Chicken

(Keep the flame in sim till gravy thickens, keep mixing as gravy may stick to pan in bottom)
Step 12 : When oil is seen on the upper layer the chicken curry is ready, add Corriander Leaves and mix it well

Tasty Kodi Kura is ready to serve :)

Note : We can cook with less oil and gas by cooking chicken curry in 3 or 4 litres Pressure Cooker adding 2 tsp oil and fry onions till golden colour in low flame, add ginger garlic paste after 2 min, add marinated chicken and let water is over in it, add 1 glass water (Mix well) and close cooker till 3 whistles, open the cooker. Remaining procedure is same from Step 10.
